Bollinger Baked Beans

Serves: 18

8 cans navy beans

1½ lbs bacon, chopped

3 onions, finely diced

½ cup maple syrup

2 TBS sea salt

¾ tsp black pepper

¾ tsp mustard powder

1½ cups paleo friendly ketchup

3 TBS GF Worcestershire sauce

¾ cup honey

Drain the beans, reserving the liquid. Cook the bacon in a pan, and drain off any excess fat.

In a saucepan combine the syrup, salt, pepper, mustard powder, ketchup, Worcestershire, and honey. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. 

Place beans, onions, and bacon in a crockpot and pour sauce over top. Add the reserved bean liquid if needed to cover beans completely. 

Cook on high in the crockpot for 12 hours.
