Pesto Pasta with Peas

This flavorful, easy side dish is the perfect potluck contribution for your next summer barbecue.
1 package lentil or chickpea pasta ( I like Banza, Tolerant Foods and Explore Cuisine)
1 16 oz bag frozen peas
2 TBS olive or avocado oil
5 TBS homemade pesto
1/4 cup fresh basil, torn or chopped
black pepper or aleppo pepper to taste
Boil pasta according to package instructions. Add oil to skillet and warm the frozen peas. Drain pasta and toss with 5 TBS of Homemade Pesto. Toss in warmed peas, fresh basil and any oil from the pan. Finish with Maldon sea salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
